The Division is committed to providing educational outreach that offers learning for living, solutions for life, and education for all. Sections include:

• Commercial Horticulture
• Urban Horticulture
• Sea Grant (marine science)
• Large Animal Disaster Preparedness
The Extension Education Division is an educational service jointly funded by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, the University of Florida/IFAS, and the United States Department of Agriculture. A team of professional Extension Agents and paraprofessional support staff develop and provide research-based educational programming in the areas of commercial horticulture (addressing the needs of landscaping businesses and nurseries); urban horticulture (including structural pest identification); Sea Grant (also known as marine science, addressing stewardship of the waterways and sea life), 4-H youth development (teaching self-empowerment and civic responsibility); nutrition (making quality decisions about food selection and consumption); child passenger safety seat inspection; entrepreneurship (how to start and maintain a business using sound business practices), and large animal disaster preparedness (associated with activation of the County's Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Emergency Services Function (ESF) 17 - Veterinary Services.
