Responding to a Solicitation

Responses to a Request for Letter of Interest may not be faxed or sent to us electronically.

If you did not receive an electronic notification of a solicitation listed on this site, but you are interested in submitting a bid, contact the Purchasing Contracts Section at (954) 357-6069 to add your name to the bidders list for that solicitation. Only vendors on the bidders list for a particular solicitation will receive e-mail notification of addenda to that solicitation (see Addenda section below).

Responses to RLIs must be received in the Purchasing Division by the time and date specified in the document.  Mail responses to: Broward County Purchasing Division, 115 S. Andrews Ave Rm 212, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. RLIs received after the deadline will be rejected. Note to New Vendors

To receive notification of upcoming solicitations for your area(s) of interest, see the section on Vendor Registration . Notifications for formal bids and Requests for Letters of Interest are issued via e-mail, as solicitations for the products/services specified on your registration form become available. It is the responsibility of each registered vendor to provide the County with a current, valid e-mail address. If you are already a registered vendor with Broward County and would like to update your vendor information, please contact the Purchasing Division at (954) 357-6066.

Addenda to RLIs

RLIs may have Addenda issued to them. An Addendum in some way modifies information from the original document, i.e., to announce changes in the due date, specifications, terms, conditions, or other modifications to the solicitation. In addition, many addenda are mandatory (MUST be signed and returned with your proposal). Anyone submitting a response or contemplating submitting a response should contact the Purchasing Division to receive e-mail notification of Addenda for that solicitation. Vendors who have not requested to be added to the bidders list shall be responsible for obtaining addenda information from this website.

The information contained herein is provided as a public notice. It may not, however, represent a completely accurate listing of all outstanding solicitations. Also, changes in date and/or time for a bid to be opened or for cancellations of solicitations may not always be reflected. CONE OF SILENCE - Broward County has enacted a Cone of Silence which generally prohibits communications with anyone serving on a Selection/Negotiation Committee or anyone who evaluates or recommends selection in the procurement process.  Said prohibition begins upon shortlisting and terminates upon award.

Special Notice Regarding Potential Declaration of Emergency

During emergencies, Broward County may be under a Declaration of Emergency issued by the Broward County Mayor.  In such situations the County offices may be closed.  In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, for all Solicitations (i.e. Quotes, Requests for Letters of Interest, Request for Proposals and Request for Information) that are due during a Declared Emergency when the County Government offices are closed, the Due Date will be extended to 5 P.M. on the next date that the County Government offices are open, unless otherwise specified.
