How to Find Out Where a Document is Recorded

A computerized index of documents filed 1978-present is available within the County Records Division. Members of the public can access this information by visiting the Governmental Center or by accessing an On-line Index of documents at this site. You can view images of documents recorded from August 24, 1998 - present at the same site. Check our WHAT'S NEW link on the County Records Division Menu frequently for the dates new features or services will be available.

The index is available for sale on CD. Contact the Public Search and Copy Section Supervisor, at 357-8240 for purchase information.

Information regarding documents recorded prior to 1978 requires extensive search activity and requests must be made in writing, along with a remittance of the appropriate fees. Members of the general public may also perform these searches by visiting the Governmental Center location.
