Browser Requirements

Getting Started

Welcome to our new Automated Official Records WEB based retrieval system!

Here is some information that should help you get started if you are new to the system.

Document Images

To see document images, you will need to have a capable browser of the correct version. Below is a list of the most popular browsers and the requirements for viewing images.

Microsoft Internet Explorer (I.E.)

If you are using I.E. you must have version 5.x or higher. To find out what version of I.E. you are running, click on ‘Help’ then ‘About Internet Explorer’ If you do not have the required version you can download it for free from the Microsoft Web site www.microsoft.com or obtain a CD from your local computer store.

Netscape

If you are using Netscape, you must have Netscape Communicator 6.0 or higher. To find out what version of Netscape Navigator or Communicator you are running, click on ‘Help’ then 'About Netscape' or ‘About Communicator’ If you do not have the required version, you can download it for free from the Netscape Web site www.netscape.com or obtain a CD from your local computer store.

AOL (America On Line)

AOL is an Internet service provider and uses Microsoft Internet Explorer as its default browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer is included when AOL is installed. To view Images with AOL you have two options:

  • Use Version 5.02 of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Version 5 or greater of AOL, and run AOL as normal.
  • Use Netscape Communicator Version 6.0 or greater with AOL. For this option you should login to AOL then while logged into to AOL, minimize AOL and run Netscape.
