Having trouble matching a customer to a refund check received from the
County Records Division?

Agents registered with the Broward County Records Division can now obtain a password to review their transactions online anytime, 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

Escrow Accounts are also available as an optional product.  A minimum of $200 is required to open the account; however, there is no ongoing minimum balance requirement.  The account functions much like overdraft protection:  all shortages are automatically deducted from your account, reducing delays caused by documents returned for insufficient recording fees.  Further, all overages are deposited directly into this account, eliminating refund checks and the $6 refund check fee (small refunds less than $6 for customers without an Escrow Account are retained and not refunded).

FAQs about our Escrow Account program.

If your office is not already registered with the Broward County Records Division, and it records a minimum of ten (10) documents per month, your office qualifies to become a Registered Agent.  Please note that each physical location and/or branch office requires a unique Agent ID that may not be interchanged or combined among different locations.  Each location must independently meet the ten (10) document minimum.
