Recording Notification Service
The Recording Notification Service (RNS) is a free service offered by the Broward County Recording Office that alerts residents via email when property conveyance or encumbrance documents are recorded. To learn more, visit our

Electronically Certified Documents Now Available Online
Customers may now purchase electronically certified documents online through the Official Records Search website for records dating from 1978 to the present. This convenient new service uses advanced encryption technology to generate secure, tamper-proof electronically certified copies of most official records within minutes, eliminating the need to visit Broward County’s Governmental Center. Once the online purchase is complete, customers will receive an email with the certified PDF document attached.
The amount of time it takes to deliver the document(s) may vary depending on the customer’s email server. If the electronically certified document(s) does not arrive within a few minutes, customers should check their spam or junk email folders.
Customers may still obtain certified documents in person at the Broward County Governmental Center, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Room 114, in downtown Fort Lauderdale, during normal business hours. For more information, please call 954-357-6716.
Consumer Alerts: Important Information for Residents
Some Broward County homeowners are receiving letters from private companies selling them certified copies of their deeds at premium prices. County residents are also receiving similar unofficial home warranty service advertisements via postcards. These companies are not affiliated with Broward County nor does the County provide home warranty services.
