Trash Transfer
Do you have bulky waste piling up, or a code violation you need to take care of? You don't have to wait until your scheduled collection day to get rid of bulky waste. Check out one of the three Trash Transfer Stations in Broward County for the FREE disposal of bulky waste, available to all Broward County residents (except the cities of Parkland, Pembroke Pines, Pompano Beach and Hallandale Beach). Stations are conveniently located in the North, Central and South parts of the County:

The stations are open Saturdays only from 8am to 4 pm and can be used up to four (4) times per month. FREE disposal program available April 5 - September 27, 2008.
When you go, you must bring proof of residency including a driver's license and tax bill or trim notice indicating the solid waste assessment or the back cover of the annual Talkin' Trash booklet (must have mailing label). Addresses on both forms of identification must match for admission.
The stations accept bulky waste including furniture, appliances, yard waste, etc. Garbage, explosives, hazardous waste, radioactive wastes, body wastes, dead animals and propane tanks are prohibited.
NOTE: If you have an exceptionally large amount of bulky waste to dispose of, please call our Customer Service Line at
954-765-4999 prior to using one of the stations to make the necessary arrangements.
The following vehicles are prohibited at the stations:
- larger than full size (1 ton) pickup
- truck bed longer than 8'
- truck bed wider than 6'
- commercial vehicles
- all modified truck beds
- open trailers longer than 8'
- enclosed trailers longer than 8'
