Wonderful World of Waste Presentations

Waste and Recycling Services is proud to offer various outreach programs for residents of Broward County. Outreach and activities on recycling, waste to energy and landfilling are available for children and adult groups. The vision of the Wonderful World of Waste (W.W.O.W!) program is to teach proper recycling, buying recycled and Broward County's waste management plan, while having fun!Available outreach includes hands-on activities, quizzes, contests, educational literature, and giveaways. Lesson plans and games for teacher/home use are also available upon request.

The activities and games are designed to teach the value of recycling and the process of waste management. Our outreach activities can be tailored to meet the particular needs of your special event or group.

When requesting activities, please plan to provide volunteers to assist.

Once your selected program has been completed, participants are given prizes that may include promotional items made from recycled materials such as pens, frisbees, keychains, seat cushions, mouse pads, tee-shirts, cups and recycled-content activity books and coloring sheets.
