Commissioner Rodstrom, a leader in Broward County for over 20 years. He brings with him a business perspective necessary for the administration of a $2 billion dollar county budget. His record of public service began as a City Commissioner, next as Mayor Pro-Tem, then as Vice-Mayor of the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Following his term with the City of Ft. Lauderdale, he was appointed Mayor of the City of Sunrise. He has been serving as a Broward County Commissioner since 1992, as well as Vice-Chair in 1994/95 and Chair in 1995/96 and 2000/01.
Commissioner Rodstrom graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1970. He furthered his education at Columbia University in New York and graduated with a BA in Political Science and went on to receive his Law Degree from Nova University.
