Commissioner Rodstrom, a leader in Broward County for more than 20 years, brings with him a business perspective necessary for the administration of a $2 billion County budget. His record of public service began as a City Commissioner, next as Mayor Pro-Tem, then as Vice Mayor of the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Following his term with the City of Fort Lauderdale, he was appointed Mayor of the City of Sunrise. He has been serving as a Broward County Commissioner since 1992, as well as Vice Chair in 1994/95 and Chair in 1995/96 and 2000/01.
Commissioner Rodstrom graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1970. He furthered his education at Columbia University in New York and graduated with a BA in Political Science and went on to receive his Law Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
