Commissioner Rodstrom honors, his constituent, Lisa Baumbach-Reardon on March 11, 2007 with a proclamation recognizing her important work in the field of genetics where her scientifit research produced the discovery of the genetic mutation responsible for causing X-Linked Infantile Muscular Atrophy, a fatal disease that usually kills within the first two year of life.  Broward County Commissioner John Rodstrom (right) presents a proclamation to Broward County Transit Bus Operator Roderick Rule. Mr. Rule was chosen as the 2007 Transit hero for going above and beyond the call of duty on June 11, 2007, when he notified the operations dispatch unit that a suspected rapist just de-boarded his bus. Rule recognized the suspect as he was exiting the bus, and he quickly decided to take a photo from him camera phone. His quick actions led to Kaplan's arrest and imprisonment. October 2007
