MISSION STATEMENT

We strive to do our best to serve the residents of Broward County and are responsible for the maintenance of the County road system including the

• Cleaning and Mowing of Rights-Of-Way
• Street Patching
• Resurfacing
• Intersection Improvements
• Canal Maintenance and Construction
• Guardrail Maintenance
• Bridge Maintenance
• Street Cleaning
• Stormwater Drainage Installation

We are responsible for road construction projects which are accomplished with Broward County forces and we coordinate and supervise the services of various contractors engaged in the maintenance of the County Road System.

The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division operates and maintains three Bascule or Draw Bridges over the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale and maintains 83 Fixed Bridges throughout the County.
