Effective October 1, 2007, the Board of County Commissioners implemented changes that affected child support, depository and enforcement services to Broward County’s Child Support Program. Because of the changes, Support Enforcement will no longer
be accepting new cases.
If you are a Broward County resident seeking to open a new child support case, you should contact the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) Child Support Enforcement Program. Information on the services provided by DOR is available on the the site or by calling 1-800-622-KIDS (5437).
If your case is Active, you will continue to receive the same services as you have in the past, at least for the next fiscal year (10/01/2007 thru 09/30/2008). If your case is Inactive, you
will continue to receive depository services.
Please refer to the PDF Memoranda below to identify the changes regarding Active, Inactive, and New cases.
