Director's Message

The Traffic Engineering Division was established in 1976 with the merger of the Traffic Engineering functions of the City of Fort Lauderdale, the City of Hollywood and Broward County. This consolidation has provided uniformity and consistency in applying Traffic Engineering principles, and allows for the operation of a coordinated signal control system within the county.

The web site has many informative features designed to provide answers to questions concerning Traffic Engineering functions within the County. This is a new and exciting tool which allows us to receive and transmit information about the operations and services provided by different sections within the Division. We look forward to serving your traffic related needs and welcome your comments and suggestions.
