The UPRD is comprised of five divisions, which directly impact the quality of life for Broward County residents.  Our divisions include the Building Code Services Division, Development Management Division, Housing and Community Development Division, Metropolitan Planning Organization Division and Planning Services Division. Our mission is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for Broward County residents and visitors by encouraging appropriate land uses, affordable housing, regional transportation systems and urban design through management of development activities, funding and enforcement of building, environmental and zoning code regulations.
