Mission Statement: The mission of Broward County Water Resources is to optimize and protect the beneficial uses of Broward County's water resources. Beneficial uses include: urban water supply; sustainability of natural systems; agricultural uses; recreational uses; navigation; and aesthetics.

Water Resources is composed of two principal program sections. The Water Engineering and Licensing Section's primary function is to protect Broward County's water resources through the licensing of point and nonpoint source discharges and subsequent monitoring of compliance with code and license requirements.
