Water and Wastewater Services
Broward County Water and Wastewater Services
2007 Coloring and Poetry Book Contest Winners

Broward County Water and Wastewater Services Division (WWS), in partnership with the School Board of Broward County and the South Florida Water Management District, hosted the annual Coloring and Poetry Book Awards Ceremony to recognize the 2007 winners on February 26 in the Broward County Governmental Center.

All winners received commemorative inscriptions along with prizes, gift and valuable gift cards for their participation.

Each year, WWS distributes over 68,000 printed covers for the annual environmental contest to 138 participating elementary schools in Broward County. The contest runs concurrently with the poetry contest, which is available to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Each year, the contest is centered on a water-related theme and focuses on the importance of water conservation. This year's theme was "Water Matters."
