Did you know that many industrial facilities process wastewater is

Did you know that all mop wash water generated in the process areas of
commercial/industrial facilities is a prohibited waste in Broward County sewer
system?
Did you know that any amount of chemicals discharged to
your septic tank can negatively impact not only your septic tank waste, but
your property's potable well, soil, and groundwater? Septic tank waste
contaminated with chemicals will require careful evaluation and possible
pretreatment prior to waste disposal.
Did you know that all rainwater (storm water) runoff is a prohibited
waste for discharge to the sewer system in Broward County? Please ensure that
all storm water is properly managed on your property. If you have questions

their web site.
Did you know that if you have your domestic septic tank serviced
(pumped-out) by a waste hauler, it is your responsibility to
ensure that your waste is properly disposed at a Septage Receiving Facility?
Did you know that if you have your restaurant grease trap serviced
(pumped-out) by a waste hauler, it is your responsibility to
ensure that your waste is properly disposed at a Septage Receiving Facility or
a grease processing/recycling?
It is your right to request final disposal receipts from your septic
tank waste and restaurant grease trap hauler!!! There is one Septage Receiving
Facility located in Broward County, one Septage Receiving Facility located in
Palm Beach County, and two Septage Receiving Facilities located in Miami-Dade
County. In addition, there are several companies in your area that offer grease
trap waste disposal or processing/recycling in your area.

NOTICE (WN) FROM BCOES?
Read entire document and complete requests within time limits
specified to avoid escalating enforcement actions!!!
WHAT TO DO WHEN ASSESSED A PENALTY ON A NOTICE OF
VIOLATION?
Wait for your invoice before paying and make the check payable
to Broward County Board of County Commissioners and mail the check to the
address stated in the invoice.
WHAT TO DO WHEN ASSESSED A PENALTY ON A CORRECTIVE ACTION AGREEMENT?
Make a check payable to Broward County Board of County
Commissioners and mail the check to the Manager of Compliance and Monitoring
Section, Water & Wastewater Services, 2401 North Powerline Road, Pompano
Beach, Florida, 33069, within 30 days to avoid the 10% late fee.
