Meets bi-monthly. Provides feedback, suggestions and information to Broward County pertaining to the consolidated communications system. Members are provided regular updates about Regional 911 projects and programs, and review performance metrics. More...

Fire Rescue Council

The Fire Rescue Council was created by Broward County Charter, Section 5.03, as amended, for the purpose of facilitating coordination between Broward County and Broward municipalities to establish a countywide communications infrastructure for fire and emergency medical services to enable closest unit response for life-threatening emergencies and support for regional specialty teams. Regional Public Safety Communications Committee

The Regional Public Safety Communications Committee (RPSCC) was formed in 2007. All public safety agencies in Broward County were encouraged to participate. Voting members included the School Board and those municipal and county Fire Rescue and Law Enforcement agencies that had executed a Regional Interlocal Agreement (RILA) for Radio Interoperability and Closest Unit Response with Broward County. An outcome of the RPSCC was the creation of three Regional Governance Boards, which have taken on the role of promoting closer collaboration among public safety partners.
