Time is of the essence when you are trying to find your lost pet,
especially if your pet is not wearing a Broward County Rabies Registration Tag
or is without a tattoo or microchip containing identification information. We
are required to hold lost pets with identification for five days (not including
holidays and when the shelter is closed) and animals without identification for
three days, in the hopes that they can be reunited with their owners.
