Dr. Isamí Ayala-Collazo
Dr. Isamí Ayala-Collazo was named Assistant County Administrator for Broward County in August 2025.
Professional Background
Dr. Isamí Ayala-Collazo has nearly 25 years of public administration experience at state, county and local levels of government.
Prior to joining Broward County, Isamí held a dual role as Assistant County Administrator and Director of the Facilities Development and Operations department for Palm Beach County. Before moving to South Florida, she served as the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Department of General Services in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Isamí's educational background is multifaceted, she is a professional engineer, an attorney, and a doctor in public administration. Much of Isamí's experience and expertise is in managing large-scale capital improvement projects, performing every phase of project management for multiple, multi-million-dollar projects. Isamí's engineering and project management background and experience will be a tremendous asset to Broward County as we embark on some major capital projects, such as the forensic science center, emergency operations and communications center, and a new governmental center.
