​Group Tours Educate on Airport Operations

Introduce your students or expose your community group to the dynamic aviation industry through a free group tour at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), one of the fastest-growing airports in the nation.  Your group will have the opportunity to learn all about Airport operations up close and personal from a Broward County Aviation Department official.

Your guide will point out interesting sights and educational facts as your group tours the various terminals and facilities of the Airport. The tour may also include presentations by the Broward Sheriff's Office K-9 dog unit or one of the fire trucks used exclusively at FLL for emergencies.

The tour will include information on: 

  • Airport history, including its role during World War IIGroup Tours Educate
  • Airport safety and security
  • Aviation-related businesses
  • Role of various Airport employees
  • Computers in aviation
  • Public art exhibits
  • Impact of tourism on Broward County

Tour Details
  • Tuesdays or Thursdays starting at 10 AM or 1 PM
  • Two weeks advance notice is required
  • Allow two (2) hours for the tour
  • Tours are age-specific
  • Ages 10 - adult 5th Grade and up, with a maximum tour group of 10-25
  • Minimum one chaperone per every ten children
  • Groups are encouraged to provide their own bus or van. An adult is required to remain with the vehicle while the group is touring the airport terminals.
