The Broward County Aviation Department manages Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and North Perry Airport (a general aviation facility).
For all open positions, apply through the Broward County Human Resources Division's website.
2020 is fully underway and before you know it our children will be out of school enjoying their summer vacation. If your child or someone you know is in college or will enter the 11th grade or higher in the 2020-2021 school year, here's an opportunity for them to learn about aviation. In a few months, we will begin accepting applications for summer 2020 internships, however, opportunities are limited.
Two sessions are typically available during the summer, both of which are four weeks long. Interns may apply to participate in one or both of the following sessions:
Session A - Early June - early July
Session B - Mid-July - early August
Due to this program, several interns have gained a better understanding of their future aspirations and formed long-term friendships and networking opportunities. Many of the interns have also gone on to pursue careers within Broward County.
The application form for 2020 summer internships will be posted by April/May.
Completed applications should be received or postmarked typically by mid-May of the current year.
