Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center Expansion Art


The Broward Cultural Division's Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team (Artist), to create a fully integrated artwork that enhances the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center expansion and exterior plaza located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This artistic intervention shall create a sense of place for Convention Center visitors.

The total budget established for this project shall not exceed $650,000

Pine Island Pocket Park

In partnership with the Highway Construction & Engineering Division, Broward Cultural Division's Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team to design, fabricate and install a site-specific public artwork for a pocket park located along Pine Island Road, a major vehicular corridor in Davie, Florida. The artwork shall enhance the park which includes a meandering walking path, shrubbery and trees. The artwork should be visible to individuals traveling northbound, without creating any obstruction or distraction.

The total budget established for this project shall not exceed $64,000

Forensic Science Center

In partnership with the Office of the Medical Examiner & Trauma Services and Broward Sheriff’s Office, the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one or more artists to transform multiple locations within the Forensic Science Center located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

 

The total budget established for this project shall not exceed $168,000

 Property Appraiser and Value Adjustment Board Offices

The Broward Cultural Division's Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one or more artists to transform new County offices located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The selected artist(s) will design unique artwork(s) that will contribute to the identity of the facility, create a sense of place, celebrate the unique qualities of Broward County, and engage visitors to the building.

The total budget established for this project shall not exceed $130,000
