Purpose:
To collect, preserve, organize for use and display materials related to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender culture and history; to support related research and sponsor educational opportunities


Projects:
Stonewall Library & Archives is the largest lending library or its kind in the United States. Stonewall's public programs provide the LGBT community with opportunities to socialize, experience visual art, meet published authors, study literary works, view and discuss LGBT films, and learn about the history of the LGBT movement.

A Lending Library: Over 15,000 lending titles available including video and DVD.
The Archives: Over 2000 titles which can illustrate the history and evolution of the GLBT community.
