DRAFT FY 2020 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS (POP)
Notice is hereby given that Broward County Transit's Program of Projects (POP) and budget are now available for Public review and comment. These Projects were developed in accordance with the Federal Transit Administration POP requirements.
The Broward Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing for the Broward County Fiscal Year 2020 Budget where the public will have the opportunity to provide comments regarding these projects, this list of projects will become final.
The public will have an opportunity to provide comments during a public hearing for the Broward County Fiscal year 2020 Budget.
The public hearing will be held as follows:

The proposed Program of Projects/Budget Estimate of * $21,272,730 includes funding apportioned from the FTA 5307 (Urbanized Area) and FTA Section 5339 (Bus and Bus Facilities) Grants.
FTA Section 5307 (Urbanized Area) will fund Proposed Projects including:
The proposed POP will include: Purchase of Buses, Support Vehicles, Capital Equipment Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Tire Leasing, Bus Stop Infrastructure Improvements, Facility Maintenance Improvements, Maintenance Shop Equipment, HVAC Renovation at Copans Facility, Maintenance/Replacement - Facility Surveillance Security (CCTV), Maintenance/Replacement - Vehicle Surveillance Security System, Transit Software and Hardware Maintenance, Transit Hardware and Software purchases, Planning Studies, Contractual Project Management Services and Other Capital Related Items
FTA Section 5339 (Bus and Bus Facilities) will fund Proposed Projects including:
Fixed Route Buses
* Actual available grant funds are contingent on a final federal transportation appropriations bill for the next federal fiscal year. This program shows the plan for the estimated appropriation amount. If less funding is available, the project amounts for some or all projects will be reduced.
^ The required Local match for Capital funds is 20% and may be funded through FDOT Toll-Revenue Credits.
