BEACH SEGMENT III​

This project is planned along the shorelines of Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park, Dania, Hollywood, and Hallandale Beaches. The project is expected to place approximately 887,000 cubic yards of upland sand along the shoreline, with a 100% cost share by the federal government.

PORT EVERGLADES SAND BYPASS 

The proposed Sand Bypass Project exemplifies a long-term strategy for regional resilience in Southeast Florida, with substantial physical, economic, and environmental benefits to the Broward County Federal Shore Protection Project and Port Everglades Federal Navigation Channel.

DUNE GRANT PROGRAM

The Broward County Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division (EPCRD) has implemented a dune initiative program that provides grant opportunities to local municipalities, coastal property owners, civic associations and non-profit groups to conduct dune restoration and enhancement projects. Further information about the grant program can be found by submitting an email to CoastalDunes@broward.org.
