A well-functioning, comprehensive transportation system is critical for the future well-being of Broward County, its citizens, business and visitors. As our population continues to grow and new businesses move here, the strain on the transportation system will continue to grow. To increase our capacity to safely and efficiently move people and goods and to provide a wide range of transportation choices, Broward County is focused on building Complete Streets and expanding our transit services. The Broward County Complete Streets program is tasked with creating streets that are safe for all users, including those who walk, ride bikes, use public transportation and those in automobiles. Together, we are building a Broward County that focuses on moving people, not just automobiles, and in the process enhances our vitality and quality of life.
