Innovation Unit and Purchasing Division team up to receive National Association of Counties (NACo) 20 25 Achievement Award!
The Broward County Innovation Unit and Purchasing Division joined forces to develop the award-winning Procurement Insights Visualization Tool. This dynamic real-time tool provides comprehensive visibility into the procurement and contract lifecycle processes of Broward County. The platform aggregates key procurement data and displays it in easy-to- understand charts, graphs, and tables, ensuring seamless tracking and management of key procurement activities. On Tuesday, April 22nd, the Board of County Commissioners approved amendments to the Motor Carriers Ordinance to include:
- All taxis must use a soft meter,
- All taxis must accept payment in cash or credit card,
- Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity are no longer required to obtain a luxury sedan permit.
For Hire Vehicle Certificates of Insurance: Please be advised effective January 1st, 2025, a current and correct for hire vehicle Certificate of Insurance must be submitted and received via CPINSURANCE@BROWARD.ORG from your agent PRIOR to your scheduled appointment time. Failure to do so will result in you having to reschedule your appointment.
Motor Vehicle Repair/Motor Vehicle Body Repair and Paint Shops and their respective Technician Applications and Vehicle For Hire Applications processing are now by appointment or drop off ONLY. Applications without an appointment will no longer be seen or serviced the same day. Please schedule an appointment by using the QLESS scheduling link. Payments for drop off applications can be via check or money order.
