Reemployment (Unemployment) Assistance

The large numbers of applicants for Reemployment (Unemployment) Assistance due to COVID-19 have strained application systems and processes.

Broward County has partnered with CareerSource Broward to help meet this important community need and encourages residents and businesses, if their employment has been affected by COVID-19, to visit, a website that provides a list of local, state and national resources that can help, including instructions and links to apply for benefits.

If you experience difficulty submitting the online application, download the application in English, Spanish or Creole, print and complete it and mail it to:

Florida Department of Economic Opportunity
P.O. Box 5350
Tallahassee, FL 32314-5350

CareerSource locations across the state are also providing paper applications and assisting individuals with submitting their claims. A list of locations is available on the CareerSource website.

Note that paper applications could take longer to process than online applications.
