The World Health Organization declared an end to the COVID-19 public health emergency on May 11, 2023, but there have been periodic upticks in new cases. 

Updated COVID-19 vaccines were approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday, September 11, 2023. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends  the use of the updated booster for anyone 6 months and older, and provides guidance on staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccines are offered at CVS, Walgreen's and other locations. Find the closest location here. Several pharmacies, retail and online outlets, private health companies, urgent care centers and community health centers also offer testing. Fees may apply. 

Beginning September 25, 2023 every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to their home.
