Steps to search for fifirms certified under Broward County’s local small business programs - County Business Enterprise (CBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE):
- Navigate to the BMS website login page.
- Click on the navy blue "Search Certified Directory" button.
- To "Search by Certification Type", adjust the selected certification types to reflect the ones that you want to appear in your search results. To access the "Search" button, scroll towards the bottom of the screen and select "I am not a robot". When selected, the "Search" button will appear. Click "Search" to begin yorur search.
- To "Search by Business Name or DBE", type the name of the business for which you are searching. Select "I am not a robot" and then click "Search".
- To Search by "Business Description", type the desired keyword(s). Select "I am not a robot" and then click "Search".
- To "Search by Contact Person", type the first and the last name in the designated fields. Select "I am not a robot" and then click "Search".
- To "Search by Location", type the city, zip code, radius, state and/or telephone area code. Select "I am not a robot" and then click "Search".
As of October 3, 2025, the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) issued an Interim Final Rule that requires all existing DBE and Airport Concession DBE (ACDBE) certifications to be re-evaluated. Certifications in this directory are currently under review and may not be used to meet contract goals or counted for compliance purposes until recertification is complete. Broward County will continue to provide updated communications regarding the anticipated timeline to complete its re-evaluations. However, the re-evaluation process will not be complete until all certifying members of the Florida Unified Certification Program (UCP) also complete this process and the UCP notifies USDOT of its completion.
The Florida UCP DBE Directory is a searchable, online database of certified DBE and ACDBE firms eligible to perform work on USDOT-assisted conracts in the state of Florida.
The ideal method of searching for DBE/ACDBE firms is through NAICS codes.
Steps:
- Scroll down to "NAICS Search".
- Enter the six-digit NAICS code. The definition of the code will appear in the window beneath the code.
- Add the code and description to the window on the right by clicking the ">>" symbol.
- To view all firms in the state of Florida with that NAICS code, click "Run Report".
- To view firms certified by Broward County, scroll down to "UPC Certification Information", click on "Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development", and click the "Run Report" button.
To search for a firm by name or service description:
- Scrool down to "Vendor Search".
- Type business name in the "Vendor Name" field or a key word in the "Business Description" field.
