Maribel Feliciano, OESBD Assistant Director
Maribel manages the daily operations of OESBD including small business certification and compliance, economic development, apprenticeship, international trade, business development, and communications and outreach. She started her career with Broward County over 22 years ago as a college intern with the then-Department of Natural Resource Protection. She previously worked in various agencies with the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department.
Something you may not know about Maribel is that she was the Valedictorian of her high school class.
What's her advice to women trying to balance work and life responsibilities?
“Have FUN, dance, travel (safely), laugh, smile, exercise, enjoy outdoor activities and delicious food. Strong Cuban coffee and a “Teams” To do List also help!”
Her advice to the next generation of women leaders is “Just do it...surround yourself with positive people that inspire and support you to be better, do better, and make the world a better place for ALL.”
