Outreach and Education
Throughout the year, we conduct education and outreach sessions on emergency preparedness for large segments of the Broward County community including first responders, municipalities and other governmental entities.

We strongly support outreach programs and activities, and works with local and municipal public safety partners to develop outreach programs that meet their specific needs. Broward County has more than 1.7 million residents. Of special concern during the hurricane season is the approximately 250,000 residents that live in mandatory evacuation zones, and approximately 40,000 mobile home residents. There are a significant number of Broward County residents who may benefit from an effective multi-agency program of outreach.
