An application for designation of a historical, architectural, archaeological, or paleontological resource site, district or zone must be completed by the applicant and submitted to the Historic Preservation Officer.
The Historic Preservation Officer will review the application and make a determination of "completeness." All applicants are encouraged to contact the Historic Preservation Officer for a pre-application meeting prior to the submittal of an application. Once an application has been determined "complete," the nomination will be scheduled for a public hearing before the Historic Preservation Board. If the nomination is approved, the Historic Preservation Board shall forward a recommendation for designation to the Board of County Commissioners.
