School Oversight Committee

Purpose

Monitor the implementation of the Interlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning in Broward County which will coordinate the comprehensive land use plan and the school facilities planning program.

Interlocal Agreement between Broward County, the School Board of Broward County, and the City Commissions or Town Councils of the twenty-seven (27) participating cities or towns, effective April 29, 2003 required by Sections 163.31777, 163.3180(13), and 1013.33 Florida Statutes.

Amended Interlocal Agreement, dated December 7, 2007, authorized by the Broward County Commission on January 15, 2008.

Membership

Fifteen (15) members.

(1) The Broward County Commission shall appoint five (5) members.

(2) The School Board of Broward County shall appoint five (5) members.

(3) The Municipalities shall appoint five (5) members.

Terms

Two (2) years.

Quorum

A majority (more than 50%) of the appointed members.
