Ms. Tolbert practices in the Office’s General Transactions practice group, advising various County agencies in a wide range of transactional matters.
Before joining the County Attorney’s office, Ms. Tolbert practiced at one of the largest defense firms in Florida, with a focus on first-party property insurance defense litigation.
Ms. Tolbert obtained her bachelor’s degree in History with minors in Spanish and Legal Studies from Texas Tech University. Thereafter, she earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. During her time in law school, Ms. Tolbert served as a Staff Editor of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review, was a member of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board, worked in the Health Rights Clinic, interned in the transactional group of a Fortune 500 company, and was awarded a Litigation and Dispute Resolution Concentration Certificate. Additionally, Ms. Tolbert was a member of the Society of Bar and Gavel—an honors society dedicated to recognizing law students who demonstrate exemplary character and dedication to goodwill.
