17th Annual StoryBook Festival Celebrates the Magic of Mary Poppins - Free day of magical fun for all! 

Children and families will enjoy an amazing free day of live costumed storybook characters, magic, music and more!  This year’s event celebrates the magic of Mary Poppins with the theme "Let's Go Fly a Kite," based on a song from the soundtrack of Disney's 1964 Mary Poppins movie. 

Highlights for kids:

  • First 1,000 kids will receive a free book
  • Get creative in the arts & crafts tent 
  • Interact with your favorite storybook characters in the Fantasy Forest
  • Tell your own story in the “Swappin’ Ground”   
  • Enjoy tasty treats from food trucks
  • Get your face painted for free (parents can bring cameras to take photos at the Storybook photo spots)
  • Wear your favorite costume, and join the Storybook Parade
  • Full day of music, dance, storytelling, storybook characters and children’s performances on three stages. 

Schedule of Events

  • 1:15PM Costume Parade! Parade begins inside the library at the bottom of the staircase. Come in costume and join the parade.

FANTASY FOREST (inside library)
  • 10:30AM-12:30PM & 1:30-3:30PM Fantasy Forest tours by ticket only. Free tickets available at 10AM for morning tours, and 1PM for afternoon tours. Tickets are limited and will be distributed first come, first served.

AUDITORIUM STAGE (inside library)
  • 10:30-11:15AM Brent Gregory, Magic Show
  • Noon-12:45PM Fantasy Theatre Factory presents Jungle Jam
  • 1:30-2:15PM Storyteller Katie Adams presents Enchanted Fairytales
  • 2:30-3:15PM Children’s Entertainer Suzy Hammer as Pumpkin Patty
  • 3:30-4:15PM Pat Nease, Storyteller
