Aerial Adulticiding Schedule

The Mosquito Control Section sprays adulticide to target biting nuisance mosquitoes that are prevalent during the heavy-rain summer months. These types of mosquitoes (salt marsh mosquitoes) are not disease-carrying and do not transmit diseases such as the Zika virus. When aerial adulticide spraying takes place it is conducted between the hours of 4AM and 6:30AM. Truck-mounted adulticiding takes place between midnight until 6:00 AM. When spraying is taking place residents with breathing difficulties should remain indoors. People living in the area who have registered with the State of Florida’s Department of Health to be alerted prior to spraying will be notified. The Mosquito Control Section will be spraying the areas listed below by truck and plane the following dates:
