21st Annual Water Matters Day
Water Matters Day returned to Tree Tops Park in Davie for an in-person event on Saturday, March 11, 2023 with interactive educational displays and booths, a tree giveaway for Broward residents, food trucks, children’s activities and more.
More than 40 educational exhibits and booths were on display to help residents learn about water conservation techniques, smart irrigation, native landscaping, and what role they play in protecting and conserving our water supplies.
In addition to learning how to save water and money, Broward County residents were able to select up to two trees/shrubs per household, with a maximum of one fruit tree per household.
The event featured seminars from
UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center on disease tolerant citrus. A limited number of Sugar Belle® mandarin trees were available to seminar attendees.
