Matters Day

Water Matters Day returns to Tree Tops Park in Davie for an in-person event on Saturday, March 9, 2024 with interactive educational displays and booths, a tree giveaway for Broward residents, food trucks, children's activities and more. This year, our schedule of events will feature remarks from artist Xavier Cortada, as well as award ceremonies for Broward County's Emerald Awards and the Broward County Public Schools' WMD Art & Poetry Contest.

We expect over 50 educational exhibits and booths helping residents and visitors learn about water conservation techniques, smart irrigation, native landscaping, and what role they play in protecting and conserving our water supplies.

Community sponsorship is key to our ability to host a successful Water Matters Day event. We have established a sponsorship package which details the sponsorship opportunities available for the event and sponsorship commitment form.

Water Matters Day is the County's largest environmental event with nearly 3,000 attendees and over 2,000 trees given away in 2023! We hope you that you will consider becoming a 2024 Water Matters Day co-sponsor!
