Making the Invisible VisibleBroward County is a proud supporter of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, a globally recognized initiative allowing those with a non-visible disability to discreetly indicate they need a helping hand, understanding, more time or patience by wearing a sunflower symbol. This simple yet powerful tool ensures they receive the assistance needed.
Just because we cannot see it, does not mean it is not there. Some disabilities, conditions or chronic illnesses are not immediately obvious to others. That is why the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower was created - to encourage inclusivity, acceptance and understanding. Simply by wearing the Sunflower symbol, you're letting everyone know that you might need extra help.
Where do I get a Sunflower Identifier?
