Looking for a gift that not only offers time outdoors but also provides benefits like physical and mental well-being? Buy an annual Parks Passport for prepaid weekend-and-holiday gate admission at most regional parks. Here's a list of all of our parks.
With a Parks Passport you never have to worry about paying the $3/vehicle fee (for eight or fewer occupants) that's in effect on weekends and County holidays at most of our regional parks. (The Parks Passport does not cover the parking fee at Hollywood North Beach Park nor any special amenity or event fees.) The credit card-style passports are good for one year from the date of purchase and are available at park offices and through WebTrac, the online reservation system.
There is no fee to enter Boaters Park, Deerfield Island Park, neighborhood parks, nature centers, natural areas, and specialty parks. At Hollywood North Beach Park, a parking fee is charged instead of the gate entrance fee, which is not covered with a Parks Passport.
Federal holidays that are observed by Broward County include New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the day after Thanksgiving. Whenever any County-observed holiday falls on a weekend, admission fees shall be applicable on that weekend day, and not on any weekday the  County elects to observe such holiday. All County parks are closed on Christmas Day on December 25.
