To honor those who served and their families. Broward County Parks' Special Populations Section have joined forces with the following sponsors to offer a free day of appreciation - Municipal Services District, Elderly and Veterans Services Division, Libraries Division, South Florida Institute on Aging, Care Plus Health Plants, Fishing With America's Finest, Humana, Memorial Healthcare System, Publix, United Way of Broward County, Mission United, Broward Veterans Coalition, Broward County Sheriff's Office, OIC of South Florida, Tri-Fly, University of Miami Health System/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute, and Youth Environmental Alliance. Activities will include entertainment, games and raffles, resources, and food. The event is open to all ages of veterans and their families.
