Marine Advisory Committee
​​The Marine Advisory Committee (MAC) was created by the Broward County Commission in 1976. It currently has 11 members. 

The MAC is charged with creating and maintaining a safe and enjoyable recreational boating environment in Broward County for all residents and visitors, and providing County Commissioners with information, recommendations and advice related to marine and recreational boating matters in Broward County including the following: 

  • Policies and programs for existing and future needs of Broward County recreational marine facilities and services. 
  • Projects submitted by cities, the County and other governmental agencies for the expenditure of funds retained from State vessel registration fees for the Broward Boating Improvement Program.
  • Projects submitted by law enforcement agencies or other boating-related agencies for the expenditure of funds from the Broward County Enhanced Marine Law Enforcement Grant Program
The MAC meets the first Thursday of each month at 2PM at Plantation Heritage Park in Plantation.​​
