​​​​​The Parks and Recreation Division has teamed up with Memorial Healthcare System to offer seven wheelchair-accessible Memorial Fitness Zones. The latest installation of equipment is at Plantation Heritage Park in Plantation​. The other five are at Brian Piccolo Sports Park & Velodrome in Cooper City, C.B. Smith in Pembroke Pines, Markham Park & Target Range in Sunrise, T.Y. Park in Hollywood, and Tree Tops Park and Vista View Park in Davie. The partnership with Memorial and its generous equipment donations allow park guests, ages 14 and up, an opportunity to get a free workout on the same kind of sturdy equipment you would find in a gym.
