Public Records Exemptions

​​​​ The Florida Statutes provide for an exemption from public information to certain individuals from public records. The information which is exempted from public disclosure in our records by this statute does not include your name.

For those of you requesting confidentiality based on your current or former employment, we require written verification from the applicable employer on the employer’s letterhead indicating the nature of your employment.

For those of you requesting confidentiality as a person who has been the victim of sexual battery, aggravated child abuse, aggravated stalking, harassment, aggravated battery, or domestic violence, we will accept proof of registration with the State of Florida victim protection program or a copy of a permanent injunction (restraining order) issued by a Florida court.

In addition to obtaining the written verification, you will need to provide your current home address, telephone number, email address and Spouse’s name if on your documents. Also, you need to supply a list of book/page or instrument (CFN) numbers of those documents that contain your current home address, mailing address, street address, parcel identification number, plot identification number, legal property description, neighborhood name, lot number, GPS coordinates and any other descriptive property information that may reveal your home address, date of birth, telephone number and or photograph.
