Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)

​​​Funds Availability:  April 1, 2020 thru April 30, 2022 or until funding is exhausted.

Purpose:  Rental Assistance

Eligibility Requirements:​

  1. Rent assistance may be provided for up to six consecutive months.
  2. Assistance can be provided for a maximum of six consecutive months, back rent and current rent.
  3. Applicant must provide proof of loss or reduction of income due to COVID-19.
  4. Applicant must provide proof of household income prior to the loss, and current income.
  5. Household must demonstrate sufficient income moving forward to meet basic expenses after rent assistance is provided.
  6. Section 8 customers are not eligible.
  7. Applicant cannot be a resident of Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, or Pompano Beach.
  8. Applicant must meet income guidelines based on household size and cannot exceed 50 percent of Average Median Income (See chart).​
