Petitions are available at the Value Adjustment Board office, online at the DOR website and on the Property Appraiser’s website, or you may download the petition here. Using a credit card, you can also file online.

CONVENIENCE FEE:  A convenience fee in the amount of 2.55 percent shall be added to the transaction amount when the payment of Statutory Fees is made by approved credit card or charge card; provided, however, that in no event shall the convenience fee be less than $2, pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 215.322(5).

Petitions must be completed and accompanied with a nonrefundable $15 filing fee, or they will be returned.

Petitions must be received by the VAB within 25 days of the TRIM notice mailing by the Property Appraiser. Deadline to file timely for the 2021 Tax Cycle is September 20, 2021.

The VAB cannot extend the petition filing deadline. Petitions received after the deadline date will be considered late and will be returned to the petitioner. A petitioner that believes he/she had good cause for not filing a petition, timely, may request in writing that his/her petition be accepted late and document the good cause/extenuating circumstances justifying the late filing. The request will be considered by the VAB Attorney.

Please file your petition with the Value Adjustment Board, at 115 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, Room 120. Hearings begin in October and continue until all hearings are completed.
