Clerk of Courts

The Clerk of the Courts is elected every four years. The Clerk’s duties are to maintain court records, attend trials and hearings as required, provide intake services for domestic violence cases and collect revenue for the Court system, including fines. The Clerk administers jury services and audits the records of guardians.  


This office is not an agency of the Broward County Commission, however the County Commission owns and maintains the facilities it operates in, and funds some operations of the Courts, State Attorney’s Office and Public Defender’s Office.​​​​​​
