The following information is provded for the convenience of courthouse employees.
Judicial Complex - Downtown Fort Lauderdale
Employees who work at the new West Building of the Main Courthouse in downtown Fort Lauderdale park at the Judicial Complex South Garage. Jurors and members of the public do not park in this garage.
The South Garage features improved safety, mobility and efficiency of parking
for employees.
You can enter and exit on either side of the garage. An alternating lane helps relieve congestion at peak times.
Illuminated “Space Available” signs on each level let you know how many parking spaces are available on that level. All 1,000 spaces are full size.
The garage has over 100 security cameras. The intercom system located at each entrance/exit lane connects you directly to on-site security personnel, who monitor the garage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Inside lights are on a timer and perimeter lights have an automatic sensor.
The path from the new garage to the Courthouse West Building is open air, through a public right of way, so you must be prepared for all types of weather. There are no plans for a covered walkway at this time.
Enter the building through the main entry lobby of the West Building, or from the North Building, via the pedestrian bridge that connects to the West Building. Either way, you must pass through security. There is a separate line for employee screening at the West Building lobby entrance.
