Emergency Rental Assistance Program

Application Portal is Open

In May 2022, the Broward County Commission received an additional $22 million in funding from the federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), in an initiative that enables local governments to allocate emergency funding to residents who are suffering financially during or as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are behind on your rent or utilities, or unable to pay your current rent, the ERAP can help. Also, if your rent has increased and this increase will cause a hardship, we can now provide three months of rental assistance.
To get started, read all of the information below to learn more about the Emergency Rental Assistance Program. When you are ready, use the link below to submit an application or to check the status of an application you have already submitted. If you need more information, call 954-831-ERAP (3727). You can submit an appeal for a denied application, or register a complaint about the ERAP, by visiting cares.broward.org/feedback. You must use Google Chrome to access the website.
